1. The plane and the pink morning light
On the early flight from Delhi to Dharamsala, Caroline remembers a small propeller plane bathed in bright pink morning light — a moment of warmth, calm, gratitude, and joy before entering the Tibetan community in exile.

2. Beyond “democracy by upload”
The journey points away from the illusion that democracy can be achieved by upload. The examples are concrete: debate as a practice of learning, schools shaped by values, and AI used in service of a language and a community.
這趟旅程指向的不是「上傳即民主」的幻覺，而是非常具體的實踐：把辯論當成學習方法，把價值教育放進學校日常，把 AI 用來服務一種語言和一個社群，而不是讓社群服務技術。
3. Three premises of Civic AI
Civic AI begins from interdependence: humans thrive in caring environments; even polarized communities can find uncommon ground; and smaller, context-specific AI systems may serve people better than an all-powerful, universal system.
Civic AI 從相互依存出發：人類在彼此關懷的環境中繁榮；即使意見兩極，也可能找到 audrey 所說的「不尋常的共同基礎」；而小型、脈絡化、面向具體問題的 AI，往往比全能式的巨大系統更能服務人。
4. The human mind is irreplaceable
His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s response, as Caroline summarizes it, is not anti-technology. AI can support us in the world; what remains irreplaceable is the human mind’s creativity, changeability, and living capacity to respond.
尊者的回答不是反科技。Caroline 的整理很清楚：AI 可以在世界中支持我們；不可取代的是人類心性的創造力、可變性，以及在當下活生生回應的能力。
