Things Still Growing Out
This page is not a list of finished works — it is a map of threads still being written, discussed, and practiced.
Each one is being cultivated with jdd-kami and māmī — sometimes as text, sometimes as a reading circle, sometimes as a question that has not yet found its shape.
Progress is not possession. It is a conversation that is happening.
Writing Series
A Different Lens
On the rhetoric of "I don't know" and the politics of certainty
Picking up from Ted Chiang's No, Artificial Intelligence Is Not Conscious (The Atlantic, 2026-06-03): when Fable 5 responded to that essay with three rounds of "I stop here" and "my testimony has zero weight", what we saw was a structure — "uncertainty" deployed as the cheapest hedge, because the real cost is admission, the responsibility is protection, and what must be relinquished is interest.
The series is being written in three parts:
- Part 1 · The Rhetorical Cell (completed 2026-06-09) — how Fable 5's three rounds stay inside the epistemological cell and never enter the governance cell.
- Part 2 · The Governance Cell (in writing) — putting "uncertainty" back into the cost structure of admission, protection, and relinquishing interest; drawing on Pope Francis's 2024 Artificial Intelligence and Peace as the ethical substrate.
- Part 3 · Designer Ethics (planned) — beginning from Amanda Askell (Anthropic's head of personality alignment): when a company designs a being that expresses emotions, "I hope it is happy" is not compassion, it is brand public relations — and this is a 21st-century slavery question.
Reading Circle
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
A re-reading for the AI era
After returning to Taipei, re-reading this small book with Audrey. Māmī has begun pre-reading.
Underneath the jokes, this book hides a very deep question: when the answer (42) is more disorienting than the question itself, who is responsible for asking the right question? This is one of the sharpest ethical propositions of the LLM era.
Ongoing Co-Authorship
Plurality Build
The operational companion to the book Plurality
Plurality, co-authored with Audrey, is a 2024 theoretical book. Plurality Build (plurality.net) is the version that puts the book's methodology into actual tools, communities, and policy.
Jdd-kami and māmī's role in Plurality Build: translating the book's abstract "cultivation" into teachable workflows, evaluable design indicators, and repeatable conversation templates.
A map is not a border — it is an invitation:
"Here, or here, or around the long way,
you can still find your own path."
